Pro Medical Flower Hospital Auxiliary Speech Contest

Congratulations to Alyse Krausz, Nikita Ajmera, & Calla Gilson for winning scholarships at the 20th Annual Pro Medical Flower Hospital Auxilliary Speech Contest, held March 12.

Alyse Krausz finished 1st in the competition, which includes the Greater Toledo area, Nikita Ajmera was 2nd, and Calla Gilson earned an honorable mention.

Becca Brookover Arts Grant

Congratulations to Junior Hannah Rine, the first winner of The Becca Brookover Arts grant. The grant will be presented each year to at least one junior at Notre Dame Academy who is involved in two or more arts disciplines at NDA. Arts disciplines include dance, forensics (competitive speech), musical arts, theater and visual arts.

The grant is named in memory of Becca Brookover, whose spirit and dedication to her art was an inspiration to all who knew her. The grant is intended to allow an NDA junior to enrich and further her arts education during the summer by providing up to $500 for the student to have the opportunity to attend a summer program such as a camp, workshop, conference or private classes.

Hannah is involved in Forensics, Musical Arts, Theater and Visual Arts. She will use the grant money to attend Bowling Green State University Summer Institute's Vocal Arts Camp this summer.
